Enchanted Eve Brush Kit :Essentials

For Holidays 2015, MAC released three brushes kit: Basic, Essential and Mineralize. I wanted them all but there are a bit pricey I picked Essential kit because I think would use it often. This brush kit features five essential brushes.The kit is $52.50 (333 AED) and the claimed value is $145. I am not sure about the real value since 4/5 are in the permanent line the total is $110 and for the MAC 133 brush I can not find it on the MAC website, However, the there is a brush similar to it MAC 135 which is $42.

Mini VS Full Size

The brushes in the is kit are smaller and they are about 2/3 the full size ones. which make them not very practical for everyday use.

MAC 168: Large Angled Contour Brush, the full size retail for $35.00. this brush designed for the expert application of cheek contour.I wanted to get this in full size before but I have so brushes similar to it. I am going use this when I need to retouch my makeup and mostly I will keep in my small makeup bags which I take it with me everywhere.

MAC 133SE

MAC 133 is described as Small Cheek Brush , I could not find the full size one on the website and I believe it is a limited edition or re-promoted one. However, it looks very similar to the MAC 135: Large Flat Powder Brush which retails for $42.00. I think brush is perfect to retouch my blush throughout the day, it is small enough to take with me everywhere and it is not gonna take much space in my makeup bag.

MAC 221: Mini Tapered Blending Brush, it is described as A mini tapered brush for the controlled application and blending of powders. The price full size $25.00.I Love tapered blending brushes in general I used them every day and I do not I think I will ever get enough.

MAC 219SE

MAC 219: Pencil Brush is $25.00 for the full size brush. It is described as a pencil-shaped brush for precise shading on the lid, in eye crease or along lash line. I think this brush in the one that I am not gonna reach for at all I have two pencil brushes and I rarely use but still good brush to own anyway.

I deep clean my brushes every week and I try not to use the same brush more than two time a week, so I always ended up having too many brushes to clean. And we all know that it is NOT fun thing to do, it take me so long clean them and then clean your sink.And in the next day when you need a brush that one might not be fully deep.I tried so many techniques to dry my brushes just to find the best way to dry them without damaging them, because when you wash them, the residual water may loosen the glue and eventually the bristles will start to fall out. I came by the Benjabelle Brush Tree watching make up brushes YouTube videos, and I loved the idea of setting the brushes in upside down manners which helps to get rid of the water with least amount of damage. Also, it does not takes a lot of space for storage and I must say the quality is the super amazing, I am really impressed!, I just got this recently and so far love it!

The tree comes is simple cardboard box, I really like it, but it is very sleek and compacted for some reason I thought it’s gonna come inside huge box, but this just perfect.

Instructions Card

The tree comes with instruction card to how to assemble the brush tree.

In the card, they give direct and simple steps to how assemble and disassemble the tree.

Top Piece

Legs

Step1 : Make sure that the you have the three pieces the Top piece and the two Legs.

‘X’ shaped Base

Step2: Connect the base pieces (legs), one fits into other to form ‘X’ shaped base.

Step3: Take the Top piece and gently pressure to get to snap into the base piece.

Review

Mini Brush Tree

Obviously, I use the Mini Brush Tree for my small ‘thinner ‘ brushes eye and concealer brushes mainly, this tree is $24.95 and comes in three different colors. I own so many brushes and I am very lazy to clean so I end up having a lot to clean by the weekend. This tree can hold 24 brushes which for me it perfect. For some reason I prefer to separate my face brushes and eye brushes when I clean them.

This model is one of their newer releases and I selected the white color because it looks more classy and fits my beauty room better.

Zoom

The super soft silicone grippers are peroxide free and meets FDA safety rules. It will safely hold but never damage your brushes

The 24 spaces all of same size and shape but they can be used for different sizes but I found a bit hard to keep the thinner brushes in straight angle.

Sunflower Brush Tree

The Sunflower is one of the recent model and it retails for $39.95. This tree can be use for all brushes size and type. It can hold 4 large brushes, 6 medium and 16 of your thinner eye and lip brushes. If you don’t a lot of brushes, I think this is the best choose for you.

There 16 grippers for the small brushes, they are place in the edges watch I found good because you can simply separate your face brushes than you eye brushes

There are 6 medium grippers they can be used for medium average size brushes and also use can use them for the larger brushes it all depends on the design of the brushes,mainly I used them for my foundation, highlight and bronzer.

This tree have 4 grippers for the larger brushes, I used they for my big brush such powder and contour brushes.

I really like this tree and I highly recommend this one because it can be use for all brushes, the tree is very to assemble,use, and storage.

Even this product was available for awhile I never had the since to try before.Mainly, because I am used to use my hands to clean my face in morning, and at night I use my Clearsonic after I remove my makeup for deep clean but I am slacking on that. Now here it is and I am so really excited to test it!

The packaging is so simple, no box, it is comes in structured plastic case with some cardboard, and you can see the actual sponge inside and it is very easy to open.The older versions used to comes in some sort of high quality bag but I believe this much better.

inside the packaging there a small booklet to guide the user step by step to how to use the sponge efficiently and how to take care of it correctly .Beside they add extra information about their products line.

Sponge

The new sponge comes in a harden form just like a stone and it get a lot softens when it damp, it’s light weigh and has good size and feel conformable on the hand.

Texture

The texture look just like any sponge, however; the wholes are a lot wider than a typical sponge.

String

It comes with a string which I found very helpful for storage with everything around your sink (you if know what I mean!), just hang it away in any hook your bathroom, that also makes it easy to hang for drying.

How to Use?

It is recommended to use the sponge twice a day morning and evening and it be used alone or with a facial cleanser.

Step 1

Rinse and hydrate the sponge prior use (never used dry), for me I put under the running warn water of my sink for about a minute to soak in water to get soften and this morning I used in the shower.

Step 2

After that , you need to squeeze out the excess water, never twist or wring

Step 3

Once you notice to that it get expanded and be a lot softens, start to massage the skin in circular motions concentrating on delicate or problem areas.

Step 4

Rinse the sponge after use, squeeze out the excess water before handing to dry to the use .

How to Clean?

Beside cleaning after every use you can put it on the microwave in microwavable safe bowl with water for few minutes to sanitized it.To the dry the sponge you stored in pouch in your refrigerator or placed on heated towel rail.

My First Impression

For my impression, I can say that I am totally impressed!, last night I used without anything facial cleanser I was not really wearing any makeup at the time but I had some mascara under my eyes and the use the sponge to remove it, the sponge was soft enough to use it around my eye, and it leaved my skin feeling very clean. This morning I used with my facial cleanser and I noticed a huge different on my nose it looked so clean and least oily and shinny throughout the day, My only drawback that is takes long to take to dry between each use. However, I really LOVE this product, highly recommended !!!

Currently, I stared to suffer from having hard skin on heels which so embarrassing when you are wearing open shoes such sandals and what not. I always use cream for my feet almost everyday, but that clearly is not enough to keep my feet smooth all the time. I also rarely go to get a body clear these day (I am just lazy to book for an appointment). The Scholl Velvet Smooth Express Pedi is an electronic foot file, retails for about 135 AED .It is designed to achieve an instant smooth feet at home leaving your feet looking great and feel super smooth without any hassle. The tool is well made and it’s just a little bit heavy it made from hard plastic I believe.It’s very easy, quick and painless! and totally remove all the dead dry skin. Downsides, I think it is overpriced for it is, and it also a bit nosy but I am O.K. with it.

Cover Case

The tool comes with see through protective cover case of hard plastic to protect the roller head and to keep it clean for the next use.

Roller Head

This head is rotatable, it has a surface that fitted out micro-granules/micro-abrasive particles which help to quickly remove excess hard skin and ensure silky smooth feet after just one use. It calms to has diamond crystals on the roller head. It goes for 12 treatments only and when it becomes less effective you can simply replace it .And the replaceable head can be purchase separately, the refill comes with 2 pack of replaceable heads.

Eject Button

This eject button simplify the process of replacing the roller head and to secured it in place, when you press the button, the roller will pop out and then you can pull it away and replace new one by pressing in the pins on either sides of the roller head and inserting it into the device.

Power Switch

To turn the device on and off, you need to twist the sliver ring to the left (clockwise) to turn it on and to the right (anit-clockwise) turn it off.

Batteries

This device is not rechargeable and wireless, all you need to power it is a set of 4x AA batteries, which makes is more flexible in my opinion. The batteries already comes inside the device when you buy it.

Insulator Tab

It also comes with a small plastic piece (red insulator tab) to keep the electrical circle open inside the device to save the batteries’ power when it is not in use. And when you want to you use it, simply remove it and close the cap again to close circle.

How to use?

Step 1:

Start with unscrew the base of unit and remove red insulator tab and replace the base of unit and screw in anti-clockwise direction to secure it.

Step 2:

Turn on the device by twisting the sliver ring to the left. Make sure the skin is totally dry before using the device.

Step3:

Glide the roller head over the hard skin the dead skin to gradually exfoliated it, make sure to not press so hard on the skin.

Step 3:

Turn off the unit by my twisting the sliver ring to the right, and check if you have achieved the softness you desire.

Step 4:

If you did not the desired result turn on the device and repeat unit you obtain the level of smoothness you desire. Make sure do not go over the same area for more than 3 or 4 seconds at a time.

Step 5:

Turn on the device by twisting the sliver ring to the right. Wipe or rinse your feet to remove excess dead skin.

Step 6:

Apply your favorite moisturizer over the treated areas.
