Benjabelle Brush Trees Review

IMG_5422

I deep clean my brushes every week and I try not to use the same brush more than two time a week, so I always ended up having too many brushes to clean. And  we all know that it is NOT fun thing to do, it take me so long clean them and then clean your sink. And in the next day when you need a brush that one might not be fully deep.I tried so many techniques to dry my brushes just to find the best way to dry them without damaging them, because when you wash them, the residual water may loosen the glue and eventually the bristles will start to fall out. I came by the Benjabelle Brush Tree watching make up brushes YouTube videos, and I loved the idea of setting the brushes in  upside down manners which helps to get rid of the water with least amount of damage. Also, it does not takes a lot of space for storage and I must say the quality is the super amazing, I am really impressed!, I just got this recently and so far love it!

Mini Brush Tree

IMG_5308

Obviously, I use the Mini Brush Tree for my small ‘thinner ‘ brushes eye and concealer brushes mainly, this tree is $24.95 and comes in three different colors. I own so many brushes and I am very lazy to clean so I end up having a lot to clean by the weekend. This tree can hold 24 brushes which for me it perfect. For some reason I prefer to separate my face brushes and eye brushes when I clean them.

This model is one of their newer releases and I selected the white color because it looks more classy and fits my beauty room better.

The super soft silicone grippers are peroxide free and meets FDA safety rules. It will safely hold but never damage your brushes

The 24 spaces all of same size and shape but they can be used for different sizes but I found a bit hard to keep the thinner brushes in straight angle.

Sigma Beauty: SIGMAX® Kabuki Kit & 3DHD Kabuki Brush| Review

c2a5ddaa-0235-4032-a926-ac59ae1ca0b5SIGMAX® Kabuki Kit & 3DHD Kabuki Brush

IMG_3233

Few months ago I got the the Sigma’s F80 Flat Kabuki because all the my Kabuki brushes have short a stem and I don’t see myself reaching for them anymore. and I loved it a lot and I stared to use every day, then I got the F88 Angled Flat Kabuki  to use it when the other one is dirty, after that I got the 3DHD Kabuki one. Now, I am totally in love with this line and I use these brushes every day for my face for different purposes, they very high quality and they do the job just right!

Kabuki Brush Origin

IMG_2956

It is named after the Kabuki Japanese drama theater where actors wear Keshō, a very heavy makeup that emphasizes the nature of their characters. There, the kabuki brush, is used to apply the white powder rice uniformly on the entire face.

Functionality

IMG_3266

Typically, any Kabuki  has a short stem and dense bristles, and they are used to apply ‘loose powder’ makeup products (powder foundation, face powder, bronzer and blush) into the face. And they aimed to blend these make up products evenly to creates a very natural looking coverage. However, now,the functionalities of Kabuki brushes are not limited to powder products and they can be used for different purpose. Depending on the design and the shape of the brush, they can be used to apply and blend liquid and cream products such foundation and concealers, also  they can be to define the face, by using them for contour and highlight the face.

SIGMAX® Kabuki Kit

IMG_3653

The Sigmax® Kabuki Kit retails for $90.00 ($120 value). the set consists five Kabuki face brushes, the kit featured with Sigmax® fibers, they are synthetic fiber brushes (I think). They are designed be used with different types of products powder, cream and liquid products without absorption into the bristles, and believe all of them are multi-use brushes. Each individual brush is sold separately and they comes in two colors chrome and copper .However the set is available in chrome only. For me I bought each brush individually, which is something I regret, because I knew that would like them all since I got my first one.

Brushes Included:

  • F80 – Flat Kabuki™
  • F82 – Round Kabuki™
  • F84 – Angled Kabuki™
  • F86 – Tapered Kabuki™
  • F88 – Flat Angled Kabuki™

Sigma Flat Kabuki™ – F80

IMG_3331

The F80 Flat Kabuki™, this is the first brush I got, basically I used to apply my powder foundation or face powder to the flat areas of my face such as the forehead and cheeks, this brush features a flat top brush head, and what I like the most about it is how dense bristles are. Even this brush designed for liquid and cream products,  I feel that it gives me more control to apply powder products directly onto my face. Also this brush can be used for liquid or cream foundation without any absorption of product so many people use for that purpose.
